Resolution Establishing the Plainfield Town Hall/Opera House Advisory Committee
Adopted at the October 24, 2011 Plainfield Selectboard Meeting
In light of the substantial maintenance and repair needs of the Town Hall/Opera House, and in view of its historic and practical importance for the people of Plainfield and the surrounding area, the Plainfield Selectboard hereby establishes an Advisory Committee on the Town Hall/Opera House. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to gather information, consider various alternative strategies and make recommendations about what short-term and long-term steps should be taken to insure that there is a suitable space for large public meetings and cultural performances in our town.
The committee is to be made up of five persons appointed by the Selectboard, including one Selectboard member. It will make an initial report of its findings at the January 9, 2012 Selectboard meeting.
